"You can meet the kindest and funniest people on the forum of a band called My Dying Bride. The irony is delicious! MDB sings of crosses, gods and darkness... and we talked about horses, dying bridges and the cake and porn. My Dying Bride creates this gloomy atmosphere hidden within the music yet we actually have the safest place to be - the forum.

MDB did not only change lives. It created bonds of which I don't think the band is really fully aware. Some of us have actually become very good friends. The music has been a journey together with the band, their music and the forum. Thank you for holding the hand of this peculiar child which I was, for reminding me constantly who I am and for the friendships.

"After 25 years, My Dying Bride are still at the top of their game and it seems the perfect time to release this long discussed tribute album to our favourite band, titled 'Mires Of Sorrow.

Despite all the misery and sorrow, this band has brought us, the fans, so much joy and great times over the years. We have forged lasting friendships, and lives have been changed...for the better.

Thanks to all the bands who have contributed their covers, and their original songs inspired by the band. Thanks to Lily, for kicking this project back into action after a long period of dormancy. Because of this, our vision for Mires Of Sorrow has finally come to fruition, and we have put something together which we can be very happy with.
